Double Auriculas

In the 1600s double auriculas were high horticultural fashion, and changed hands for huge sums. Then the stripes and 'edges' took over, and by the last century they had all but disappeared.

For the past fifty years, modern day Florists have worked hard to resurrect them, and today the doubles are back in an ever-increasing range of vibrant colours.
